Ditch the scales!

A few months ago now I bought the scales home from the studio.

Not for me to use, but to remove them from being a part of my business.

Why?

Because I have noticed a trend.

Clients both new and existing didn't care about them.

Or if they once did, their interest in them was waning.

One of my lovely online clients sent me a collage this week of her body when she started working with me and now (8 months later).

She does one x 1:1 30 minute session with me each week via Zoom.

The photos blew me away!

Her tummy was smaller.

Her legs were toned as.

Her arms and back are smaller then when she started.

And yet, the number on the scales is the same.

If you were basing your progress on a number on the scales in this instance you would be disappointed.

You might beat yourself up, wonder "what's the point".

And yet the photos show a VERY different story.

Marie said to me "it proves scales are a terrible way to measure".

And they are.

They in no way reflect changes in body composition (if you tone up), improved strength, improved energy.

They in no way reflect who you are as a person.

Isn't how you feel a better measure?

By constantly getting on the scales and using this number to determine your happiness (or not) each day, week or however often you weigh yourself is not helping you.

The number on the scales doesn't make you less loved.

The number on the scales doesn't make you less of a person.

The number on the scales doesn't affect how well you do your job.

The number on the scales doesn't make you more or less of an amazing woman.

So why give your power and happiness over to them?

Its time.

Its time to ditch the scales.

If getting on them and having the number that shows back at you makes you feel like shit, then don't do it.

You don't need them.

My clients get results easier, in fact, when they ditch the scales.

We use measurements and exercise tests instead.

Are you ready to join this movement?

Are you ready to take back your power?

Are you ready to say "see ya later" to those numbers?

If not, why not?

What are you afraid of?

I'd love to know your story when it comes to scales.

How have they served you in your life so far?

If its not positive, if they don't make you feel good, ditch them!
